MORE INFORMATION
The Chukka
The Chukka Boot or Desert Boot has both a military and sporting heritage. The lace-up ankle boots were once worn by British polo players in India, the name itself originates from the word “chukker” which signifies a period of a polo game.
The Last
The Palermo is a sophisticated ankle-high boot, well accommodated for wider feet. The shoe is rounded at the toe with a typically narrow waist and a design that is rather slim for a Chukka boot.

Shoe Care
A cordovan pair of shoe will require much less maintenance then a calf leather shoe. Shell Cordovan has the particularity of being extremely resistant. The leather is vegetable tanned, soaked in oil during 6 to 9 months, which gives it its natural shine and strong waterproofing capacity.
Start by cleaning your shoes with a soft damp cloth then allow to dry before applying any product. Use a cordovan cream to treat the leather, apply a very small amount then let it dry a few minutes before brushing them to remove any excess.
If you feel that your pair may require some extra care, you can use a polishing deer bone.
Roll the bone, using its softer side in circular motion, particularly over creases, scratches and scuffs. It will iron out the leather and bring back the cordovan’s natural shine.
HOW TO STYLE
The Palermo is an elegant Chukka Boot, well adapted for smart wear. The deep patina calls to be paired with a navy or flannel suit.
CONSTRUCTION & LEATHER
The Palermo is constructed using three pieces of outer material; inside quarter, outside quarter and vamp with three eyelets. In a true Casa Fagliano tradition, the Palermo is Goodyear welted and finished with a bark tanned leather sole. The Palermo is completely re-solable, designed to last a lifetime.
Our leather soles are a masterpiece of craftsmanship to themselves, hand stained and endowed with a “gentleman’s corner”,to prevent your heel from getting caught in your trousers cuffs.
The Palermo uses shell cordovan leather, a rare and particularly noble leather that requires very little maintenance and ages beautifully, it’s not incongruous to say that a pair of cordovan lasts a lifetime. This rich leather has the particularity of being extremely resistant, with a natural shine and strong waterproofing capacity.
The Chukka is equipped with a pull tab at the back for practicality.
