The Fagliano Jodhpur boot is yet another boot with a strong polo heritage, from its last to its origins.The unique design of the jodhpur boot is eye catching yet versatile, with its black calf leather and its refined loop around the ankle, adding a hint of elegance.
The Jodphur
The origins of the Jodhpur boot can be traced to the 1920’s in India where it was worn by Indian polo players, hence its name.The boot was developed after the innovation of the jodhpur trouser. Before the jodhpur trouser, riding required tall boots that cut off above the knee.
The new pants were designed to protect the inner calfs from rubbing whilst ridding. A less expensive boot was thus developed that required less leather and was easy to slip on and off. Today the Jodhpur boot has left its equestrian heritage in the past and is seen as a classic staple of any man’s wardrobe.
The Last
The Fagliano Jodhpur is designed with high ankle, a narrow leg opening and a buckle around the ankle, allowing you to tighten or loosen the boot to your preference. The last of our Jodhpur was strongly inspired by the one used for our famed polo boots with a diamond toe shape.

Shoe Care
It is important to regular maintain your shoes to ensure there longevity.
Before applying any products make sure to clean your shoes using a humidified sponge or cloth, then let them dry.
Once dry, use a conditioning cream to hydrate the leather, which will bring back its suppleness and shine. Use a cloth to apply the cream, then wait 10 to 20 minutes before buffing with a soft cloth.
If you want to give your patina an extra shine you can apply a good quality wax polish. Use a cotton rag twisted around your fingers to apply the wax, then remove the excess with a soft brush. The wax adds a small degree of protection against water and dirt.

CONSTRUCTION & LEATHER
The Fagliano Jodhpur boot is constructed from a single piece of leather divided in two parts; the vamp and the quarters, fastened by a strap with a silver sterling buckle that comes around the ankle.The Jodhpur, just like all Casa Fagliano boots, is Goodyear welted and entirely re-solable.
The black calf leather is one of our most popular leather, especially when it comes to men’s dress shoes.The calf originates from a selection of the highest quality of leather sourced from the french Tannery d’Annonay.
The boot is finished with a bark tanned leather sole, hand-painted and waxed to protect it from the elements.The sole is a masterpiece of craftsmanship in itself, equipped with a “gentelman’s corner” to prevent the trousers cuffs from getting caught in the heels.
